Mini biography
Torrie Wilson was born in Boise, Idaho on July 24, 1975, but really grew up in a
small resort town 100 miles north called McCall. She showed her physical prowess
on many of the teams in school. She began working in the fitness world and won
various national fitness titles including 1998 Ms. Galaxy Florida. She has
appeared in many fitness magazines including Natural Muscle.
In 1998 Torrie and her then boyfriend went to a WCW house show in LA. She had
never watched wrestling before and on her first visit to a wrestling show, she
was asked by Scott Steiner to walk him to the ring for his match. She later
signed with WCW and her first major role was as a valet to David Flair, the son
of Ric Flair.
It was during this time that she meant Pete Gruner otherwise known as Billy
Kidman. She eventually became Billy's valet and they travelled together on the
road and fell in love with each other in real-life. The two worked together in
WCW for a while as part of the Filthy Animals. Torrie also managed Shane
Douglas, however at the end of 2000, she began having problems with the WCW and
left the company.
Eventually, WCW was purchased by the WWF (Now WWE) and Torrie was brought in by
Vince McMahon to be a part of the "WCW Invasion". She became part of the
Alliance and teamed quite often with follow WCW valet Stacy Kibler. As the
invasion angle came to an end, Torrie began managing Tajiri.
During this time she took part in a WWE Divas Bahamas Photoshoot in November
2001 and was on the front cover of the December issue of RAW Magazine. She was
featured in the WWE Divas 2002 Magazine and also the Tropical Pleasure DVD/Video
and the WWE Divas Undressed Special.
Torrie was the covergirl for the May 2003 issue of Playboy Magazine. Torrie's
issue of Playboy sold over a million copies. Former WWE diva (and Playboy model)
Sable made a return to WWE and began a feud with Torrie. Following her feud with
Sable, Torrie acted as the valet of "Mr Ass" Billy Gunn. In July 2003, she and
Billy Kidman married.
In March 2004, both Torrie and Sable appeared in Playboy together and took part
in a "Playboy Evening Gown Match" against Stacy Kibler and Jackie Gayda at
Wrestlemania 20. As of August 2004, Torrie is a still an active member of the
WWE Smackdown roster.
